Conferences on any scale can be expensive – Professional Conference Organisers (PCO’s) frequently combine Darryl’s Keynote Presentation with a solo performance at the Gala Dinner. This is a huge cost saving and allows the audience to have greater access to Darryl.
Another popular event combination favoured by many clients is for Darryl to perform a solo show at a lunch, dinner or cocktail event while capitalising on Darryl’s skills as a honed and polished MC and have him also MC the entire event. The following case study outline how Darryl’s services can be packaged in different ways to truly engage an audience while adding value for PCOs and Event Managers.
CASE STUDY: PHARMACY BRANDS CONFERENCE
DURATION: Two day weekend at Intercontinental Hotel, Fiji
Marina Noble, PCO of Eventive, utilised Darryl’s unique ability to ‘combine’ his skills by booking him for the New Zealand Pharmacy Brands Conference held in Fiji. Presenting his keynote at the beginning of the Conference he then stayed on to perform a solo show at the Gala Dinner. Marina found Darryl’s keynote “entertaining and inspiring”. Darryl incorporates the live performance of operatic arias in his keynote – something Marina found particularly impactful. “What a finale – when you invited all our delegates to join you sing the chorus of Nessun Dorma… our entire conference room was on their feet – and the exuberant performance sent shivers down my spine. You thoroughly deserved your standing ovation”.
At the Gala Dinner the following evening, Darryl entertained guests with a solo show including musical theatre highlights Phantom of the Opera, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jesus Christ Superstar and some operatic arias. Marina was delighted with the show commenting “your performance at our gala dinner was breathtaking … it turned an ordinary evening into an extraordinary one, and you again deserved the standing ovation you received”.
